I am Tony Qiu, from 11th grade of SASPD. I will be writing a chair report on the topic Addressing the Cost-Of-Living Crisis In Metropolitan Cities. Since when I joined MUN in 7th grade, I've been taking it as an important platform to learn about global issues from different perspectives. I think being the chair of a debate on global issues can provide me a unique platform on viewing it, just as how being a delegate could. Furthermore, as a relatively mature and experienced MUNer, I take it as my duty to help younger, growing MUNers on their MUN journey. I can't wait to meet the new committee!
Hello delegates!
My name is Ikhee, and I am a junior at SASPX. My MUN journey began in 7th grade as a delegate in the Economic and Social Council of DIMUN, and eight conferences later, it is my honor and utmost pleasure to serve as a Deputy President for the SHASMUN Economic and Social Council. The topic I will be working with for this conference is “Resolving the issue of student debt.” Student debt crises have plagued student borrowers for over 40 years, yet the issue has reached new heights in the 21st century. In the United States alone, student debt reached $1.74 trillion in the second quarter of 2024. I look forward to hearing sophisticated arguments tackling cardinal socio-economic issues that continue to jeopardize the world around us.
See you soon!
Hi everyone!
My name is Josephine Won, and I am currently a junior at Concordia International School Shanghai. It is an honor to serve as the Deputy President Chair of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) at the upcoming SHASMUN conference. This marks my seventh year participating in Model United Nations, during which I have had the privilege of attending numerous conferences across Asia as both a delegate and chair. Notably, this will be my first SHASMUN conference.
