President
Ethan Ma (DCZ)

Hello! My name is Ethan Ma, and I currently attend Grade 9 at Dulwich College Suzhou. I am honored to serve as your president of the Security Council for SHASMUN XII, a rare and prestigious opportunity that surprised even myself. This is my fourth year in Model United Nations, and the upcoming SHASMUN will be the tenth conference that I partake in. I am passionate about Model United Nations, and I am excited to work with all of you to make the SHASMUN XII Security Council a memorable and successful experience for everyone involved. The conflict in Haiti has resulted in over 5 million citizens being unable to access proper nutrition, representing half of the overall population. Violence has engulfed the nation as gangs have asserted control over 80% of the capital of the nation, Port-au-Prince. As delegates of the Security Council, it is crucial that we address the situation and analyze the causes of conflict with urgency, and lead humanity towards a solution that ensures the safety and well-being of the people in Haiti. Together, we can strive to bring peace and stability to this troubled nation.
